Angelus-RFG

INDICATIONS For the support of restorations and prosthetic crowns.

COMPOSITION

• Peeso drills: Stainless steel
• Rubber Stops: Latex
• Template for radiographic measurement: Plastic
• REFORPOST® GLASS FIBER: Glass fiber (80%); pigmented resin (19%), stainless steel filament (1%).
• REFORPOST® CARBON FIBER: Carbon fiber (72%); pigmented resin (22%), stainless steel filament (6%).

TECHNIQUE OF USE

• Select the pin using the template and the periapical x-ray of the tooth;
• Remove some of the root canal filling with heated instruments to the predetermined depth. Allow at least 3 to 5 mm of filling at the root apex;
• Prepare the canal with the drill corresponding to the diameter of the post. Place the post and cut at the desired limit with a diamond drill at high speed under refrigeration;
• Clean the post with alcohol and dry it;
• Apply a layer of silane (SILANO ANGELUS®) and let it dry for 1 minute;
• WARNING: It is not necessary to apply the silane on REFORPOST® CARBON FIBER.
• Apply the ANGELUS® FUSION-DURALINK® CATALYST to the post according to its instructions.
• Clean the canal with the air-water spray and dry it with air and absorbent paper points;
• Etch the canal with ANGELUS® 37% PHOSPHORIC ACID for 15 seconds;
• Rinse and dry with air and absorbent paper points.
• Apply ANGELUS® FUSION-DURALINK® PRIMER in the canal and wait for 1 minute;
• Apply ANGELUS® FUSION-DURALINK® CATALYST according to the instructions. This adhesive requires no curing;
• Spatulate the resinous cement selected* and fill the conduit;
• Put the post in the canal, remove excess of the cement, and wait for the polymerization.
• Auto-adhesive cements eliminate the need for the steps of acid conditioning and adhesive application.
• Perform conditioning and apply an adhesive on the remaining crown and on the post. Build the crown core with composite resin, or with ANGELUS® REFORCORE®. REFORCORE® is a prefabricated glass fiber core.
• USE OF ACCESSORY POSTS IN WEAKENED ROOTS AND WIDE CANALS
• Fill the remaining conduit spaces with accessory posts REFORPIN ANGELUS to reduce the thickness of the cement and better imbrication.

WARNINGS | PRECAUTIONS

• The use of fiber posts is not suitable for extensive rehabilitation and for use in patients with parafunctional habits;
• Prefabricated fiber posts should be used only on teeth with a minimum of 2 mm in dentin height;
• Fiber posts should only be cut with water-refrigerated high-speed diamond burs. Do not use scissors or cutting pliers. Use goggles and a mask to prevent inhalation of particles generated during cutting;
• Fiber posts must be completely covered by the cementing agent or the composite resin.

IMPORTANT: The indication of any post depends on careful evaluation of the quality of endodontic treatment and periapical health.
